United for Transformation

Please keep Trinity Columbia, TN in your prayers. This weekend August 30 and 31 proves to be a huge weekend.

We are gearing up for Unity Sunday where we are bringing both of our worship styles (traditional and contemporary) together in a blended format. To prepare for this worship experience, I am planning a prayerwalk on Saturday. I'm using Joshua 6 as a guide for our prayerwalk and we will be walking around the church property and in the church buildings to pray for unity at the church. In the Spirit of Joshua 6, we will walk 1 time around the church 6 times and walk a seventh around the church 7 times. During those walks we will pray through the Joshua 6 themes of: ENCOUNTERING GOD, SPIRITUAL WARFARE, REPUTATION, STRENGTHENING FAITH, REACHING OUT TO NON-CHRISTIANS, EVERYTHING BELONGS TO THE LORD
And, as an extra bonus for Sunday's worship, I've invited my unchurched neighbor (my Learning Community nicknamed him "Bubba") to be interviewed and share his views about our church.

Please pray that my congregation has an open heart to God's leading and that they behave as one church in mission for the lost.
