PRAYER CHAIN

Prayer is the essential component of Gospel outreach and church revitalization. Please add your petitions general and specific that have to do with congregations and individuals in the Transforming Congregations Network process. Then come back frequently to this discussion site and help us pray for these needs as they are added. Here are some petitions for starters:

40 days of Prayer and Fasting for the TCN Process. Many of those in the TCN Process are observing a season of prayer and fasting for the effectiveness of the revitalization process. This will last through the end of July.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Middleport NY and Pastor David Triplett. The congregation is deliberating on the consultation report of June 9.

Consultant Training, Sept. 10-14, Orlando FL. Pray that those who need to attend will be able to participate. Pray that 180 consultants will be trained in the TCN process to serve 2000 congregations. Pray for the 120 consultants currently in the training process.

Please pray for me as I travel to St. Louis next week (July 14-17) to meet with synodical, seminary, and district personnel to share with them what is happening with TCN. Pray that these influential people will be supporters and provide resources for the mission revitalization process.

Pray for the faithfulness and courage of the pastors in the three new Learning Communities formed in the New Jersey District, and in the four new Learning Commiunities in the New England District.

Pray for the Atlantic District which is about to implement the TCN process this fall.

Pray for TCN which is newly incorporated and applying for grants to expand the effectiveness of the process.

I would like to add Pastor George Richter who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Also for our congregation that will need a strong and missional leader to guide us in the future. One that will continue the work of our pastor and his dream of reaching the lost.
