Rev.Myers,
I'm a member at Grace Lutheran Milwaukee, we've been involved with the Ablaze series and working with Gary Janetzke,(work's with family ministry & church revitalization at the district office). We also have Pastor's Dean Zemple, Paul Peckman, and my pastor George Richter. They've been meeting a few times a year in a cell where we've been using small groups, sharing resources, trying to hold each other accountable, and begun to look at coaching.
Monday, Nov.3rd, 10:00am, @ Grace Lutheran we will be meeting. We (Gary and I) were hoping you might be able to bring some fresh ideas to the table. Pastor Peckman's church just closed their school and presently my pastor is seriously ill. Rev.Ferd O Bahr is standing in during his abscence. It's been a challenge keeping this going, but I believe there is a lot of potential here. Not just for our churches but maybe even to create more enthusiasm in our district.
I realize you must be busy but I was thinking there might be some way to utilize resources. Especially for Janetzke, the district did some reorganzing about 1-2years ago. Now Gary is responsible for the schools also, we could sure use some help moving forward. Gary's email is: janetzke@swd.lcms.org
Mine is: penneywiniarski@yahoo.com
Hope you prayerfully consider joining us it would be totally cool!
God Bless!
Peace Lutheran Church, Racine, WI.
It is part of the Hales Corners expansion ministry ... both this church and one in south Milwaukee (Ebenezer Lutheran) are being merged and will be alternate worship sites.
So actually I am called as an associate pastor to Hales Corners Lutheran and being deployed to operate as a sole pastor to Peace Lutheran. (Best of both worlds - eh?)
Peace presently worships about 40-45 members and was a break-away church from St Johns (?) about 20 years ago. (Some of the parallels between Peace and Grace Lutheran in Greenwood is pretty ironic!)
I believe that one of the major contributing reasons for my call here was due in part to the the training and experience that I received with the October Revitalization Training with Paul Borden .
I also believe that the 6 month learning community that I coordinated on the Seminary Campus will prove to be invaluable as move forward in the ministry here at Peace/Hales Corners.
So opportunities for revitalization? Definitely!
Blessings to you as well!

Glad to see you joined the network! Where did you receive your first call to? Any opportunities there for revitalization? Let me know if I can be of assistance.
Blessings,
Terry
