I graduated from college and entered law school at the Univ. of Illinois. It was interrupted by three years active duty in the U.S. Army. After returning to law school and graduating and passing the bar, I practiced for several years. Then I entered and graduated from Concordia Sem, St. Louis. I served a congregation in Northern Illinois District for almost ten years. Then I returned to the Sem for an advanced degree, hoping to become a college professor. Finances prevented me from finishing, so I returned to the practice of law. In 2003 I contracted Hodgkin's Lymphoma and lost my job in 2004. I worked where I could, all temporary jobs until February, 2008, when I was hired as a grant writer at Provident, a non-profit in St. Louis. I am married, with three children, the youngest of which is about to graduate from Univ. of Illinois. I have led stewardship programs at my congregation the last two years and am looking into the Revitalization program.
