At 7:36pm on August 11, 2008, Derek Mathers said…: It was our annual Lawn sale. Our community comes out and we welcome over 500 people. This is the first year we had the pray table and 22 people, not connected to our congregation, requested prayer. I was pleased to hear whatever they desired prayer for and then to pray for that expressed need without critic. I first expereinced this on a mission trip to India in 1995. I was one of a team teaching pastors and Bible women and at the end of every teaching many would ask for prayer. Touch was very important and I found that a hand on the shoulder during the prayers offered at our lawn sale was also positively received. It was an honour to pray for them.
