Yes, I know Pastor Jones. I'm just the deacon here at Grace but I see great possibilities in the revitalization process for our congregation and the community. Our Pastor, Ken Haydon has retired and is now on "semi-retired" status. He still works part time at the church here. As I learn 'more', I will be able to give more info to the elders and pastor.

Terry,
I sent you a private email on facebook. Long winded, point, don't have a Pastor, but could set something up w/Pastor Cash. He is and has quite a few things in the works. I could give him a call if your still interested.

I would certainly be open to that...I'm quite sure your schedule is much more challenging than mine...I'm in Greenfield. I don't know if I'm clear on what you are asking when you wrote, "see what God is doing in my ministry." Are you talking about you and I meeting, meeting w/our facilitators, or the pastors I meet w/in our district for the Ablaze cell. Not sure I understand....facilitators can be easier but scheduling pastors is a nightmare...

Wow, had to share this Terry. My mother and I were doing our triad in her trailer park. Began some impact praying, Ephesians 3:11-21, she's praying for her children to access and utilize the resource's we have in Christ. As I listed her children by name, she reminded me that I forgot one. He was put up for adoption 40years ago. Right after I got home from there, I found a friend request on facebook. It was my long lost brother. He went to a Lutheran High School, graduated from Concordia, is a teacher here in Milwaukee...weird, but totally cool.

Terry,
I found a resource on the revitalization site, "TransforMissional Coaching", now I know where I belong. Just had to say, "Thanks", God's richest blessings!

Terry,

Thank you for your initial feedback. We are in contact with Ted and will continue to utilize him as a valuable resource. One area where you might be able to assist us is in establishing our boundaries. We are hoping that there are best practices and examples from other congregations that we can leverage so we don't have to completely reinvent the wheel. Any assistance you can provide in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Mihran

Terry,
Not sure if my note came through via my friend request, but wanted to let you know that I would love to connect when you are in STL. I am in town that weekend, but I don't know my complete schedule at this time. Let's keep in touch and plan on getting together. God bless, Mark

Terry,
I just wanted to thank you for the encouragement and prayers. Apparently our district is adapting learning communities that are more specifically suited to the needs of our District.

This site helped me to connect with Pastor Cash Myers, and I'm trusting your advice to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Myers is a truley wonderful assest to our group and am looking forward to the future. So thank you again and may our Lord continue to bless your work.

Pastor George Richter is my pastor's name. Our DCE is Gary Janetzke in the south wisconsin district. I would assume Gary is going for the coaching training, he has and continues to be a great source and has encouraged me many times when I've wanted to give up. Gary is the one who helped us bring small groups to our church and started the cell with other pastors. Our district went through some reorganizing shortly afterwards though. He is also handling family and school ministry. A wonderful man with a heart for mission but a heavy work load. That's why I asked Pastor Cash to join us. To connect the resources, gives us guidance in the cell. This was the original hope that my pastor would kind of champion it, yet, my pastor get's busy and tends to leave it to me. Now with his illness it becomes another challenge. Either way Pastor Cash has offered to share some of his training.

Thank you for your prayers and the resources. Again I've been blessed with the guidance from some good men, my concern is more for those who are not and get lost in the shuffle.

Any Volunteers

Any Volunteers??
Suzie Superintendent was so frustrated. How was she going to get anyone to help with Vacation Bible School? She had to beg and plead just to get enough warm bodies to fill the slots each week for the Sunday School classes and now pastor wanted her to recruit volunteers for Vacation Bible School. Didn’t he understand that people were just too busy for these kinds of commitments now days? Everyone wants church to fit into a convenient hour time slot on Sunday morning. Then they ca… Continue
